DECEMBER 2004

ANNOUNCING OUR WEBSITE GRAND OPENING:  www.millicentsyarns.com

We are very pleased to announce that our website is now open.  We have worked with Janet Kemmet from Design Source and her colleague Allison for many months, and are delighted with the final result.  You’ll be able to read our newsletter as well as find the list of classes and special events on the site.  Directions, history, policy (did you know we had a store policy?), a product list, and best of all, a gallery of YOUR work is all there.  There is even a virtual tour of the store!

For those who have received the newsletter by email, please note that we will now send you notification of the new monthly newsletter and send you to www.millicentsyarns.com to read it.

HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS FOR YOU

Wondering how you can tell your friends and family that you want your holiday presents to come from Millicent’s Knits & Yarns?  OPEN A PAGE IN OUR GIFT REGISTRY and send your loved ones down to us.  We’ll do the rest.

Here’s what your registry page can do for you:

·         Your page allows you to write down the titles of books that you want (to avoid duplicating what you already have in your library).

·         You can designate what yarn and even what colors and amounts you want for your new project.

·         You can dangle the idea of having one of those kits wondrous hand-dyed yarns from Wales.

·         You can ask for needles that will help fill the holes in your needle collection.

·         You can even ask for a swift and ball winder (although you might want to give me a head’s up for this as I need to special order them).

BONUS DISCOUNTS FOR THE NEW YEAR

You’ve watched us record your pre-taxed purchase amounts on your card for a year now.  The time to collect your bonus is nearly here.  Come into Millicent’s on Tuesday, January 4 or any other time in the new year to collect your bonus to spend on any Millicent products.

NEW YARNS CONTINUE TO ARRIVE

The difficulty distributors have in getting yarns from Europe has translated into our receiving some of our finest yarns late in the season.  But they are arriving, slowly and surely!!  Stop in frequently so you can see what is new!

REMINDER:   Beth Brown-Reinsel Gansey Workshop participants

The remainder of your workshop fee is due around December first.  Try to get your fee balance in then or we will begin to haunt you!

NO DECEMBER CLASSES

LOOK FOR JANUARY CLASSES IN OUR NEXT NEWSLETTER

You can anticipate many beginner/refresher classes , a knit your first sweater class and a felting purses and bags class (three new books have come out with patterns to salivate over!).

We at Millicent’s wish you a very warm holiday season and thank you for your being part of our growing community of knitters!
